Eldercare Systems - Hospice Referral & Support Services

Eldercare Systems works with families throughout the homecare journey.  Early on, Eldercare may be needed for companionship and supervision for a person who is generally healthy and active, but has impaired cognitive ability.  A person with impaired memory and judgement may be unable to manage their own medications, shopping and daily living; but, that same person can function well with the friendly oversight of a trained companion.

When a loved one reaches the final stages of life, Eldercare encourages its families to take advantage of the wide assortment of care and supportive service provided by Medicare through Hospice.  Often families do not realize that hospice clients may remain at home with hospice services and the care and companionship of Eldercare.  Medicare does not pay for the daily needs of a terminal patient.  Meals, laundry, shopping, medications, etc. are not hospice covered expenses but are provided by an Eldercare caregiver.  

Eldercare can and will provide expert hospice referral services, should the transition to hospice be appropriate.
